Igor Teplyakov: "The President has clearly outlined Belarus's future course, confirming the immutability of such fundamental principles as sovereignty and independence"
— Undoubtedly, it was an impressive, trusting, and direct conversation in terms of its duration, openness, and honesty. It touched upon practically all important aspects of the country's life. The dialogue was very telling, including in the answers to the sharp questions posed by biased Western media.
The Head of State clearly and understandably spoke about summing up the events of the election year 2020. Back then, we all clearly understood how frightening it can be when the radical opposition demanded that the fate of the country be decided on the street. And how important it is that in such moments the state does not turn out to be weak, and its law enforcement agencies do not falter in the face of insidious scoundrels. The President directly outlined the future course of Belarus, confirming the inviolability of such fundamental principles as sovereignty and independence. And the fate of our republic will be decided by the Belarusian people, and not by dictates from Washington and Brussels.
The Head of State also emphasized that we have not betrayed and will never betray the Union with Russia, that the Russian Federation is our main ally and partner, with whom we will strengthen integration processes, jointly repelling hostile challenges and all sorts of threats.
In my opinion, the main outcome of the "Big Conversation..." was the feeling of confidence that there will be no ultra-radical changes in the country, especially at the behest of external forces, no matter how much someone might want it. We will determine the fate of our country and its development ourselves. And no sanctions, no hybrid war waged by the collective West, will be able to influence this.
