Games for Real Men: Extreme Sports Festival Held in Ushachi

Last Saturday in Ushaсhy, in a picturesque spot on the shore of Lake Vechelye, the extreme sports festival "Extreme Breakthrough" was held.

The program was diverse. It included a stage of the Belarusian wakeboarding cup, rally, quad bike trophy sprint, and flyboarding demonstrations (by the way, this is a type of extreme sport involving flights on a special board powered by the reactive force of water flow).

Perhaps the main event of the festival was the "Heroes of Belarus" strongman competition. Its participants moved cars from their places, lifted heavy objects, and performed other exercises requiring considerable physical strength. Numerous spectators admired the perseverance and will to win of the heroes. In the end, Alexander Laban from Novopolotsk won.

Rescuers also presented their program at the event. Employees of the Ushaсhy department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, together with employees of the district internal affairs department, conducted a demonstration of joint actions.

And on the water surface of Lake Vechelye, rescuers showed everyone present how rescue operations are carried out on the water: according to the scenario, a jet ski driver lost balance, fell off, and lost consciousness due to injuries. But thanks to the coordinated actions of the water rescue team of the "Vityaz" fire and rescue squad, the jet ski driver was rescued and handed over to the ambulance crew.
