June was marked by increased investor interest in real estate in the Vitebsk region
In the first half of the year, the VitebskObImushchestvo fund sold real estate worth almost 3.6 billion rubles based on auction results, with about a quarter of the amount earned in June alone.
In other words, the first summer month was marked by increased investor activity, so even on its last day, potential buyers were intensely bidding for unused real estate.
More than fifty steps had to be taken by the auctioneer to identify the winner in the bidding for the right to purchase a two-story building of a former warehouse built in 1936 in the village of Mezhitza, Lepel district. The structure with a total area of over 1.2 thousand sq. m was put up for auction with a starting price of one base value, and the land plot for its maintenance, measuring about 0.1 hectares, is leased for 50 years. Two participants showed interest in the lot, and when the price exceeded one million from 180 thousand, it became clear that both had serious intentions for the real estate. As a result, the winner had to offer 73 million rubles for the purchase, which was 450 times the starting price.
In a blitz interview with Vitebskiye Vesti, the new owner of the old building reported that the facility will be used for its intended purpose: in close proximity to the warehouse, the investor has a feed additive production and needs to expand warehousing for business development.
Since the beginning of the year, 33 real estate objects have been sold at auction, of which over 73% were municipal property. In total, the budget received over 5.2 billion rubles from the sale of property, and about 9 billion rubles from the lease of real estate. Income from the transfer of part of the profits of unitary enterprises exceeded 25.6 billion rubles, and the amount of dividends paid on shares belonging to the Vitebsk region amounted to about 3.7 billion rubles.
