The names of the representatives of Belarus at the pop song performers contest and the children's music contest, which will be held during the XXII International Festival of Arts "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk", will be announced on April 8-9. BELTA was informed about this by the press secretary of the Ministry of Culture, Yulia Viskub.
The second stage of the selection auditions will take place on April 8 (for adult artists) and April 9 (for children). A professional jury, which includes famous cultural and art figures, will listen to the participants accompanied by a "minus one" phonogram. Following the first stage – the selection auditions of video materials – 20 contestants were selected by the expert group, 10 adults and 10 children.
Following the second stage, the jury will select one participant for the pop song performers contest and two participants for the children's music contest.
Among the contenders for the right to represent Belarus in Vitebsk are performers who have made a name for themselves at other republican and international contests and festivals: Alexey Gross (National selection tour for the international song contest "Eurovision-2013"), Daria Shulgina (National Festival of Belarusian Music and Poetry "Molodechno-2012"), Ksenia Kubina (finalist of the "Singing Cities" project), Alexandra Laktionova (winner of the ONT TV project "I Sing"), and others.
