India is ready to invest $10 million in the economy of the Vitebsk region. This was announced to journalists by the Chairman of the Association of Organizations for Trade and Industry Promotion (India) Priyanshu Jha at the VIII International Economic Forum "Innovations. Investments. Prospects" in Vitebsk.
According to him, Indian enterprises are interested in close cooperation with the Vitebsk region and the creation of a cluster of several enterprises in the region. "Representatives of India are ready to invest $10 million in the economy of the Vitebsk region. The considered projects of mutually beneficial cooperation are still under discussion. There are good proposals from the "Vitebsk" free economic zone for joint projects in the field of metalworking and food production. They are under discussion. An agreement is planned to be signed soon, after which the implementation of promising investment projects will begin immediately," said Priyanshu Jha.
The significance of the economic forum in Vitebsk in light of the intentions of the leaders of Belarus and China to deepen bilateral relations was noted by the Ambassador of China to Belarus Cui Qiming. He emphasized that delegations from four Chinese provinces, including representatives of authorities and businesses, are present at the forum, and expressed confidence that participants will find common ground for mutually beneficial cooperation.
85 delegations from 22 countries are participating in the VIII International Economic Forum "Innovations. Investments. Prospects" in Vitebsk. The two-day program of the forum includes the signing of cooperation agreements between the districts of the region and foreign regions, the work of exhibition expositions, demonstration sites, a business contact exchange, the WorldSkills youth competition for professional training and qualifications, and the conference "The Role of the Education System in Innovative Developments".
It is planned for forum participants to visit enterprises and facilities in the region. For the first time, a foreign pavilion of goods, services, and projects has been organized at the forum, where partner foreign regions will present their best companies and their developments. Separately
