Individual housing construction accounted for almost a third of the total housing put into operation in the Vitebsk region in the first quarter

Individual developers in the Vitebsk region built about 40 thousand square meters of residential area in the first quarter of this year, which is 27% of the total housing commissioned in the region. This was reported to a BELTA correspondent by the Committee for Architecture and Construction of the Regional Executive Committee. This year, the region has undertaken increased housing construction commitments, planning to commission about 850 thousand square meters of residential area. According to the results of the first quarter, 2,084 apartments, or 148.5 thousand square meters, were built using all sources of funding, which is 17.5% of the increased target. Over Br234 billion of investments were directed to these purposes, including about Br179 billion of preferential credit resources. More than Br22 billion were directed to the development of infrastructure facilities in residential areas. In rural areas, 62 thousand square meters of residential area were commissioned, or 23% of the annual target; 162 residential buildings were commissioned in agricultural organizations (24% of the plan). In addition, 16 social housing units were built for preferential categories of citizens, and 60 large families were provided with housing. Another 10 exchange fund apartments were built for the resettlement of citizens living in dilapidated and emergency housing. The volume of one-time gratuitous subsidies for preferential categories of citizens for housing construction exceeded Br2.1 billion. -0-
