There are about 8 thousand monuments to the Great Patriotic War in Belarus. Of these, 3.5 thousand are to fallen soldiers, more than 2.2 thousand to partisans and underground fighters, and about 1.4 thousand to victims of genocide.

Of almost 1 thousand monuments in the Vitebsk region:

▪️21 memorial complex,

▪️93 obelisks,

▪️152 monuments,

▪️36 steles.

The perpetuation of the memory of heroes and victims of the past war continues to this day.
