Info points for tourists will open in Minsk during the II European Games

City information points for tourists will operate in Minsk during the II European Games, volunteers will provide information about the competition program and city attractions, said Elena Plis, director of the Minsk Information and Tourism Center, at a meeting of the board of the Main Department of Sports and Tourism of the Minsk City Executive Committee, as reported by a BELTA correspondent.

Information points will be located near sports facilities, accommodation sites, fan zones, Minsk National Airport, Tsentralny Bus Station, the railway station, the student village, as well as on major tourist routes (at Svobody Square and Nezavisimosti Square).

"Trained volunteers will provide information, including in foreign languages, about the program of the II European Games, public transport routes, and the tourist potential of Minsk and Belarus. They will also provide printed information materials about the capital, a city map, and brochures about attractions," Elena Plis said.

The work is being carried out in conjunction with the Directorate of the II European Games. The information points were tested in September 2018 in the Upper Town during festivals of national cultures (days of culture of Georgia, Israel, Moldova, Azerbaijan). The II European Games will be held in Minsk from June 21 to 30.
