An innovative project to create a truck-mounted aerial platform won the open Vitebsk "CYBORG" competition

The winner of the open competition of innovative business organizations "KIBORG" was Vitebsk LLC "TechnoKranGroup" with the project "Creation of an auto hydraulic lift".

The project is aimed at the development and creation of a prototype of a new type of product for Belarus and CIS countries – a lift intended for servicing bridges, overpasses, transport interchanges, and other road facilities. "Subsequently, our goal is to organize serial production of this type of industrial product, largely export-oriented. In Europe, only two companies from Italy and Austria produce similar products. According to specialists' calculations, our development can well compete with European analogues, and in terms of price, it wins by more than three times," explained Pavel Kotikov, Deputy Director of TechnoKranGroup LLC. The company has been operating in the construction lifting equipment market for 5 years: it is engaged in its maintenance and repair. It is participating in such a competition for the first time and hopes to make itself known in this way, as the task now is to find an investor to prepare for the production of innovative equipment. It is precisely in this that the competition winner will be helped by its organizers. In addition, LLC "TechnoKranGroup" has already begun to invest its own resources in the implementation of the project to lay the foundation for production activities. "We are completing the preparation of the deal – we are buying a workshop of over 800 sq.m and investing money in its repair and equipment purchase. But we lack working capital for the assembly of the equipment itself," added Pavel Kotikov.

The open competition of innovative business organizations "KIBORG", which took place in September this year, is aimed at forming partnerships between authors of promising projects and investors and has become another method of supporting innovative entrepreneurship in the region. The competition was organized by the economics committee of the regional executive committee, ODO "Vitebsk Business Center", Vitebsk branch of the International University "MITSO", the community of business angels and venture investors "BAVIN", Vitebsk regional organization of BRSM, POOO "Onega".

The summing up and awarding of the winners took place today at the Vitebsk branch of "MITSO". During the event, a seminar "Innovative Startups - Problems and Solutions" was held, a specialist from the main justice department of the regional executive committee spoke about innovations in the registration of business entities, and participants also discussed problematic issues of developing innovative activities and public-private partnerships.
