Positions of instructors-methodologists for physical culture and recreation and sports and mass work will be introduced in organizations and enterprises of Vitebsk. This is stipulated by the program for the development of physical culture and sports of the regional center for 2009-2010, which was approved today at the session of the Vitebsk City Council of Deputies, BELTA correspondent reports. In addition to full-time physical education instructors, collective agreements and social development plans of enterprises of all forms of ownership will include clauses on moral and material incentives for employees engaged in physical culture and sports. Physical culture and recreation clubs will be established at enterprises with a staff of over 1,000 people. The physical culture development program also provides for holding mass sports and tourist events, strengthening the material base of sports organizations and recreation clubs, creating new physical culture and sports clubs, and promoting an active lifestyle. According to Dmitry Skorinkov, head of the physical culture, sports and tourism department of the city executive committee, such approaches to the development of physical culture will allow engaging about 15% of the city's population in physical culture activities by 2011. -0-
