The interactive exhibition "Partisans of Belarus" will be shown at Polotsk State University

At Polotsk State University, the interactive exhibition "Partisans of Belarus" will open on April 20. PSU will be the first university in the Vitebsk region to host the documentary project, as reported by the regional executive committee.

The exhibition is based on documents from the unique online project "Partisans of Belarus" (partizany.by) by the "Belarus Segodnya" publishing house and the National Archives, as well as materials from the Belarusian State Archives of Audiovisual and Photographic Documents. The exposition includes historical photographs from the Great Patriotic War, award lists, and combat records of partisans and underground fighters who operated in Belarus. The exhibition reveals the feats and merits of specific partisans and tells about combat clashes and partisan formations in the region. A branded interactive stand of the project will also be presented, allowing each visitor to try to find their heroic ancestor among the partisans and underground fighters.

This year, the exhibition is held in the format of familiarizing university students and faculty with the project. It will be at PSU until April 23, then from May 13 to May 21 it will be at Vitebsk State University named after P.M. Masherov, from May 24 to May 28 at Vitebsk State Academy of Veterinary Medicine, from May 31 to June 4 it will come to Vitebsk Technological University, and then from June 7 to June 11 the project will be shown to students of Vitebsk Medical University. The exhibition "Partisans of Belarus" was previously exhibited in Brest, Mogilev, Grodno, and Molodechno in 2020.

The exhibition was organized by the "Belarus Segodnya" publishing house and the National Archives of Belarus with the support of the Ministry of Education and the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee. The official partner of the project is OJSC "ASB Belarusbank".
