An interactive center for learning safety rules will appear in Vitebsk this year
An innovative safety center with an interactive environment for practical training in emergency response will open in Vitebsk by the start of the academic year. This was announced to journalists at a press conference by the head of the Vitebsk Regional Emergency Situations Ministry Department, Alexander Klobuk.
"We recently opened the image facility "Safety School" in Orsha. And in Vitebsk, the creation of a facility for training in safe living rules is nearing completion. Situations and conditions will be simulated, including not only behavior during a fire, but also on water, at home, in an elevator, in a forest, on ice, in frost, and so on. Both children and adults will be able to improve their knowledge in this center and then test themselves – whether they are capable of acting correctly in different situations. The time to complete the tasks will take about an hour. There will be a fee, but purely symbolic, as our task is to educate people," explained Alexander Klobuk. The future center will be located on Proletarskaya Square in the former building of the State Industrial Supervision Department. "Active work is currently underway there. There is a project for future equipment, and equipment and materials have been ordered. I think we will launch this facility by the academic year," he added. It is expected that through the education system, students and pupils of the region's institutions will visit this center in groups, where they can practically practice the educational material on life safety. The mechanism and schedule for such visits are being worked out. Alexander Klobuk emphasized that following Vitebsk, Polotsk, Novopolotsk, and other major cities will also get similar training facilities of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
