Foreign businessmen are implementing investment agreements worth $1.2 billion in the Vitebsk region
"Over 180 investment agreements worth about $1.2 billion, concluded with businessmen from various countries and the regional executive committee, are being implemented in the Vitebsk region. Is this a lot or a little? Of course, it's not enough. Investors should work in every sphere, in every direction. They should build new modern enterprises, create jobs," said Nikolai Sherstnev. According to him, the Vitebsk Economic Forum provides an opportunity for businessmen from different countries to familiarize themselves with the region's potential, as well as with successfully implemented projects. The forum is also an excellent platform for discussing new ideas and getting acquainted with promising development plans.
"First of all, we are orienting our enterprises towards an innovative development path, towards finding modern technological solutions that will contribute to increasing the competitiveness of our production. In meetings with representatives of the business community, we constantly emphasize our readiness to cooperate with investors in all areas - in industry, agriculture, tourism, etc. At the same time, we understand that it is important not only to start a joint project but also to facilitate its implementation at all stages," noted the head of the region.
The Governor noted the readiness to offer "a large number of land plots in all cities and
in district centers of the region". They can become sites for new construction. "To accelerate the implementation of ideas, we are ready to provide premises, engineering infrastructure, support projects, and ensure interaction with all regional services to minimize commercial risks," assured Nikolai Sherstnev. The Vitebsk region offers investors to more effectively use raw material resources, industrial and innovative potentials to organize the production of high value-added goods."We expect businesses to create
competitive industries by implementing modern technological
solutions. For our part, we promise comprehensive support not only at the stage
of construction, but also during the operation of enterprises," emphasized
the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee. He also thanked the foreign guests
for accepting the invitations and coming to the economic forum. Delegations from Russia, Latvia, Slovakia, Poland, Czech Republic,
Ukraine, China, Turkey, Lithuania, and Vietnam are in Vitebsk. The VI International Economic Forum
"Innovation. Investment. Prospects" will be held in Vitebsk on May 11 and
12.
