A Jordanian pharmaceutical company will act as the founder of the JSC being established on the basis of BelVitunipharm.

A Jordanian pharmaceutical manufacturing company will be one of the founders of the open joint-stock company being established on the basis of RUPP "BelVitunipharma" and plans to invest at least $14 million in its development. This was reported to BELTA correspondent by Mikhail Pavlyuchkov, director of the "Vitebskoblimushchestvo" fund, based on the results of negotiations with a foreign investor. The tender scheduled for March 21 to select a founder of the OJSC being established, other than the state, was declared invalid, as only one applicant submitted a bid. In accordance with the legislation, the organizer of the tender is authorized to conduct direct negotiations with the sole participant. The terms offered by the Jordanian pharmaceutical company fully comply with the declared tender conditions. The company is ready to make a cash contribution of $20,000 when forming the charter capital of the OJSC being established. In total, the charter capital of the OJSC is expected to be around Br37.5 billion. In addition, within three years, the foreign founder plans to invest at least $14 million in the charter capital of the OJSC, taking into account which its share may increase to 53% of the joint-stock company's charter capital. At the same time, an additional contribution to the charter capital of the OJSC is expected to be made both in cash and in the form of intangible assets in the form of technologies for the production of medicinal products, transferred to the OJSC for 20 years. "Following the negotiations, we reached an agreement on the participation of the Jordanian pharmaceutical manufacturing company in the privatization of 'BelVitunipharma' as a founder alongside the state, taking into account the fulfillment of all declared conditions," said Mikhail Pavlyuchkov. At the same time, the foreign investor undertook to sign an agreement on the establishment of the OJSC on the basis of the transforming state enterprise "BelVitunipharma" no later than April 8. RUPP "BelVitunipharma" was established in 2008. Its main activities include the production of pharmaceutical preparations and materials, as well as veterinary drugs, medical instruments, apparatus, and equipment. -0-
