Nikolai Sherstnev, Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, recommended that the management of "Marko" search for new sales markets during his visit to the enterprise
From the construction of a polyclinic to the search for new sales markets for Belarusian footwear – the range of issues raised during the visit of the chairman of the regional executive committee Nikolai Sherstnev to LLC "Management Company of the Holding "Belarusian Leather and Footwear Company "Marko".
Before starting the field reception of citizens, the head of the region assessed the product range of the well-known Pridvinian manufacturer. The General Director of the holding, Nikolai Martynov, said that today under the brand
"Marko" women's, men's, and children's shoes are produced. And if there wasn't much of the latter at first, now its share has significantly increased, as the colorful and high-quality products are in demand among the population. Discussing the sales markets for the products with Nikolai Sherstnev, the head of the company noted that Pridvinian footwear is supplied to Russia, Kazakhstan, and the Baltic countries. In the future, "Marko" intends to look for opportunities to sell its products in the USA and Canada. It is necessary to start working on this already, emphasized the chairman of the regional executive committee, because without searching for new markets, there will be no point in developing production.— If you have a product, it's time to look for a buyer, — noted Nikolai Nikolaevich.
Regarding the company's immediate plans, a significant focus is placed on reducing product costs. In particular, various models of molded footwear, as well as sneakers, which are currently in high demand among young people, have been developed. They will also be available for sale soon.
From discussing the holding's prospects as a whole, Nikolai Sherstnev moved on to addressing issues that concern individual employees. For instance, a resident of the YUG-7 microdistrict in Vitebsk asked for attention to be paid to the improvement of their courtyard: there is no sidewalk everywhere, it is dangerous to walk near cars, and people get injured due to potholes in the road. The situation, of course, needs to be rectified. However, according to the chairman of the city executive committee, Viktor Nikolaikin, over a thousand courtyards in the northern capital require repairs, and there are not enough funds to bring them into order. As the head of the region noted, problems are often laid down initially, even during the construction of a house. Somewhere the road was not asphalted, somewhere the curb was not fully laid. Work is accepted with unfinished tasks, then no one eliminates the defects, and they increase every year. Considering that not all construction organizations are currently fully loaded with orders, Nikolai Sherstnev suggested that the mayor of Vitebsk consider how they can be involved in landscaping work. Everyone would benefit from this: both the workers and the residents of the regional center.
The issue of constructing a polyclinic in the Yugov district was also raised during the reception of citizens. Work is underway there, but not as fast as one would like. The chairman of the regional executive committee promised that the construction of this facility will not stop, as it is extremely important for the population. However, the speed at which it will be carried out depends on the budget's funding.
Another collective appeal had already been resolved positively by the time of the citizens' reception. Employees of
"Marko" requested the organization of a public transport route from Frunze Avenue to Bilevo late in the evening, to have the opportunity to get home after finishing the second shift. As Viktor Nikolaikin said, a bus will start running in this direction from Monday, and if it is in demand, it will become a regular route. Two female employees came for an appointment with similar personal questions about allocating rooms in a dormitory for their families. It should be noted that the situation was also practically resolved. UP agreed to provide housing

«The management company of the holding «Belorusskaya kozhevenno-obuvnaya kompaniya «Marko» Elena Chikalova. The discussion was about the impossibility of fulfilling the investment agreement No. 150 dated November 12, 2013, without external financial injections. As is known, this document was preceded by Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus No. 467 "On measures for the development of the leather and footwear industry and shoe production". According to the document, the holding company "Belarusian Leather and Footwear Company "Marko" includes UPCC "Vitma" and "San Marco", OJSC "Krasny Oktyabr", LLC "Marko-Service", "Marko"rial">», as well as the RUP «Vitebsk Fur Combine». The latter must undergo reconstruction and modernization within three years of the decree coming into force. As the holding company's management notes, they are ready to create the declared capacities at the fur combine by 2016. However, for this, project lending must begin as early as April 2015. Otherwise, the work will stop, which cannot be allowed.— There is a Presidential Decree, and no one will allow it not to be fulfilled, — said Nikolai Nikolaevich. — We need to take a firm stance together in the implementation of this project.
After receiving citizens, the head of the region, together with Nikolai Martynov, went to the production site and met with the enterprise's staff. During an informal conversation, employees of
«Marko» also asked Nikolai Sherstnev many questions. They mainly concerned the development of infrastructure in new microdistricts and landscaping. The Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee spoke about the prospects for the development of Vitebsk and reminded people that the filling of the regional budget, and therefore the financing of social projects, depends on their labor productivity.Liliya Ivchenko, "Vitebskiye Vesti"
