An IT laboratory has opened in Vitebsk at the P. Masherov Vitebsk State University
Opening it, Elena Zalesskaya, Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Information Technologies of PSU, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Associate Professor, and Alexander Yakovlev, Head of the iTechArt development group in Vitebsk, who is also an alumnus of this faculty, invited students to take a test on the history of programming. For example, they had to recall the name of the first programmer. And it turned out to be a woman – Ada Lovelace. Two winners received prizes from the faculty's partner.
– Leading IT companies in the country actively participate in the university's educational process, – noted Elena Zalesskaya. – They help strengthen the material and technical base and support the university's staff. Thanks to this laboratory, education will reach a higher level; in the summer, we plan to launch the first specialized course for students in Java Script.
