The results of the city civic-patriotic event 'Memory Marathon' were summed up in Vitebsk
The celebrations, which took place at Gymnasium No. 2, were attended by schoolchildren, regional and city administration, representatives of public organizations and political parties.
The campaign started at the beginning of the year in the Pervomaysky district. The symbol of the "Memory Marathon" was a "time capsule," which was passed from one school to another, from district to district. Upon receiving the symbol, schoolchildren and teachers actively engaged in civic-patriotic work: they held various events, exhibitions, presentations, concerts, conducted research activities, and other work to perpetuate the memory of the heroes of the Great Patriotic War.
“It is gratifying that all schools in the city have joined the campaign. The children have truly embraced the history of the Great Patriotic War, realizing that it is not only a great feat but also a terrible tragedy for our people,” noted the Chairman of the Regional Council of Deputies, **Vladimir Terentyev**. The "Memory Marathon" campaign will continue in the cities and districts of the Vitebsk region.
