Results of the October campaign "Together - let's stop violence"

From 1.10. to 31.10.2012, in the Vitebsk region, on the initiative of the Internal Affairs Department of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee and with the support of other legal and law enforcement state bodies, with the active participation of healthcare authorities, the campaign "Together - Let's Stop Violence" was held. During the campaign, psychiatrists-narcologists of the region examined 1544 citizens who abuse alcohol and are prone to violence while intoxicated. Of these, 189 people were registered with narcology for the first time in their lives, 219 people were treated in psychiatric hospitals, and 537 received outpatient treatment.

259 people suffering from alcohol dependence voluntarily underwent the procedure of emotional-stress therapy ("coding"), of which 88 were on a free basis for social reasons.
