The results of the review competition for the best labor protection organization were summarized in Novopolotsk

On June 8, 2017, in Novopolotsk, at the base of RUP "Belorusneft-Vitebskobleneftoprodukt", a field meeting of the Commission for the Prevention of Industrial Injuries and Occupational Diseases under the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee was held.

The management of enterprises conducted an extensive set of measures in the field of labor protection, which included improving the qualifications of employees, organizing the uninterrupted operation of sanitary and domestic premises, providing workers with personal protective equipment, reducing the levels of hazardous factors, and decreasing the number of employees engaged in conditions that do not meet the requirements of sanitary and hygienic standards. A labor protection management system developed based on STB 18001-2009 has been implemented and is functioning.

To enhance the prestige of a safe work culture, a review and competition for the best labor protection organization is traditionally held in the Vitebsk region, with the participation of over 600 economic entities from all districts and cities of the region annually. In the regional stage of the review and competition, 44 organizations competed for the title of "best".

 

The commission meeting addressed issues of injuries, labor protection, and working conditions. The results of the review and competition for the best labor protection organization were summarized. The winners were awarded diplomas in four nominations:

"Non-production sphere organizations", where the first place was awarded to RUP "Belorusneft-Vitebskobleneftoprodukt";

"Production sphere organizations with up to 100 employees", the winner recognized was UP "Beshenkovichi PMS";

"Production sphere organizations with 101 to 500 employees", the winner recognized was OJSC "Motor Transport Enterprise No. 5 of Vitebsk";

"Production sphere organizations with over 500 employees", the winner recognized was OJSC "Polotsk Dairy Plant".

As part of an excursion to RUP "Belorusneft-Vitebskobleneftoprodukt", the meeting participants were able to familiarize themselves

not only with the theoretical part of work organization, but also with the practice of applying the main directions for creating proper conditions and labor protection for employees, to discuss problems of preventing accidents and occupational diseases in the workplace.

The comprehensive measures taken, the annual reduction of risks and traumatizing factors ensure a sustainable social and economic effect at the enterprises of the Vitebsk region.
