Vladimir Dulov graduated from the Belarusian State Conservatory (class of one of the founders of the Belarusian piano school, Professor G. I. Shershevsky).

Even during his school years, he won a series of victories at national and international competitions: the National Pianists' Competition (1976), the National Composers' Competition (1978), and the International Pianists' Competition in Czechoslovakia (1977). His years of study under Professor G. I. Shershevsky culminated in a victory at the M. K. Čiurlionis International Pianists' Competition in Lithuania.

After graduating from the Belarusian State Conservatory in 1985, he continued his studies in the assistantship-internship program (1985-1987) and postgraduate studies (1987-1988) at the Moscow Conservatory. His creative supervisor was the outstanding Soviet pianist, People's Artist of the USSR, Tatiana Nikolaeva. At the same time, he began his research and journalistic activities. The result of his postgraduate studies in 1988, under the guidance of Prof. V.P. Chinaev, was a major research paper "Scriabin's Piano Works Performed by Outstanding Representatives of the Russian Piano School."

Upon returning to Minsk in 1988, he began his teaching career at the Belarusian State Conservatory (now the Belarusian State Academy of Music), which continues to this day.

Students of V. A. Dulov work not only in Belarus but also in Russia, China, Germany, Switzerland, Israel, the USA, and Taiwan. Among them are laureates of national and international competitions.

V. Dulov continues his research in the field of history and theory of piano art. Among his recent works are: "Scriabin, Pasternak, Sofronitsky: In Search of Romanticism," "Keyboard Bachiana in the Mirror of 20th-Century Pianism," "Piano and Pianism in the 20th Century: In the Attainment of Freedom." An important stage of his work was performance editing: the sheet music collections "Keyboard Music of Belarus of the 18th Century" and "Piano Music of Belarus of the 19th Century" were published.

In addition to his active and focused methodological and curatorial activities in Belarusian music colleges, V. Dulov conducts master classes in Russia, Armenia, Switzerland, Austria, and Taiwan. As a jury member, he is invited to national and international competitions in Russia, Ukraine, Armenia, and Moldova.

Since 1985, as a soloist and ensemble player, he has been actively performing in Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Finland, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, and other countries.

D.D. Shostakovich St. Petersburg Philharmonic to Vitebsk

Laureate of the S.I. Savshinsky International Competition

YOUTH TRIO of the St. Petersburg Philharmonic Society named after D.D. Shostakovich

Laureates of international competitions Olesya MOROZOVA – piano, Yan TOMILOV – violin, Roman KISELEV – cello

The concert features Honored Artist of Russia Daniil MEEROVICH – viola

A beautiful epilogue to the Academy and a well-deserved gift to the talented musicians of Vitebsk will be a concert by the Youth Trio from St. Petersburg. The members of the Youth Trio are artists of the academic symphony orchestra of the St. Petersburg Philharmonic Society named after D.D. Shostakovich. The young performers won the I prize at the V International Competition named after S.I. Savshinsky, an outstanding musician and teacher, professor at the St. Petersburg Conservatory. The competition took place from November 27 to December 1, 2013, at the Tsarskoye Selo Gymnasium of Arts named after A. Akhmatova in St. Petersburg. Participation in an international competition of this scale, as noted by People's Artist of the Russian Federation, Artistic Director and Chief Conductor of the Mariinsky Theatre Valery Gergiev, is already an achievement, a victory over oneself, an important milestone in the life of a young musician. Performers from Finland, Sweden, Turkey, Lithuania, Belarus, and Ukraine participated in the competition.

For the first time in Vitebsk, the famous quartet of Gustav Mahler, which has its own interesting creation history, will be performed. To perform this work, Honored Artist of Russia Daniil Meerovich (viola) will join the young musicians. His work is well-known to the Vitebsk public (the I. Stravinsky Quartet, where the violist works, has pleased the audiences of the I.I. Sollertinsky Festivals with its performances several times). The timbral composition of the chamber ensemble, which features the entire string family of the orchestra, allows composers to create high artistic images and convey deep emotions comparable to the drama of symphonies.

The concert will feature a combination of youth and maturity, ardor and composure, boundless skill and virtuosity:
