The "Safety Fair" will be held in the Orsha district

Rescuers will hold a "Safety Fair" in the Orsha district on March 21. The event will be held for the first time in the village of Orekhovsk, which is home to about 3.5 thousand people, the Vitebsk regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported.

The choice of the venue is due to the fact that last year a significant number of fires (102) occurred in the Orsha district, in which 15 people died. Representatives of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, OSVOD, BDPO, young rescuers, and cultural workers will take part in the fair. The organizers will determine the best "Village Host".

Everyone will be able to compete in installing a detector, cleaning the territory from combustible waste, evacuating from a smoke-filled room, speed of hammering nails, and other skills important for safe living. A craft exhibition, playgrounds and photo zones for children, and master classes on installing autonomous fire detectors and using fire extinguishers will be organized. An informational and educational campaign "Spend time with benefit" will also be presented, and amateur artists will perform. Throughout the day, representatives of all regional prevention services will conduct informational and explanatory work with the population on the territory of the Orekhovsky village council, and visits to the homes of socially vulnerable categories of citizens are planned.
