A yacht club and a ski slope may appear in the Braslav district by 2015
January 10, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. The Braslav District Executive Committee proposes to include more than ten investment projects in the development program for the Braslav District as a resort of national significance, Deputy Chairman of the District Executive Committee Valentina Vysotskaya told a BELTA correspondent.
The program for the development of the district as a resort of national significance is being developed for 2011-2015. It takes into account the natural and cultural opportunities of the region, the proximity of the borders with Lithuania and Latvia. Projects for the construction of a hotel, an amusement park, a ski slope, and a boarding house within Braslav promise to be profitable for investors. The large number of lakes in the district contributes to the development of water sports. Potential investors can familiarize themselves with the designated site for the construction of a yacht club.
Along with proposals for the development of tourism and recreation infrastructure, the program draft is expected to include measures for the repair and construction of roads, retail facilities, and consumer service enterprises. A separate section of the program will be devoted to environmental protection and the rational use of natural resources. In particular, the construction of treatment facilities and bioenergy plants, as well as the improvement of lake shorelines, are planned.
The result of the program implementation will be the achievement of a growth rate of paid services in 2015 at the volume of 211% compared to the 2010 level, the revenue growth rate from paid services will be 115%. The number of people employed in the service sector is planned to increase 2.2 times.
The draft program for the development of the resort area in the Braslav District is being prepared by a working group, which includes heads of ministries and departments. It is expected that work on the draft will be completed by February, after which it will be submitted for consideration by the head of state.
