A young woman from Orsha became the winner of the public vote in the "I Sing!" competition.
In a solemn ceremony on May 23, Alexander Lukashenko met with the talented youth of the republic. The President presented students with well-deserved awards and gifts, and urged them to cherish Belarus – the country whose honor the winners of Olympiads and competitions defend at international forums.
Among the laureates are the finalists of the music competition "I Sing!", which has been organized by ONT channel for several years in a row. Among the others, Vika Orlova from Orsha (in the photo), the winner of the popular vote of the music project, received a diploma and a gift from the head of state.
This meeting was special for the student of Orsha Secondary School No. 13. "I couldn't even dream," admits Vika," that the President himself would shake my hand, and that I would be among the hundred invited children from all over the republic at this meeting! I was impressed by Alexander Grigoryevich's words that our country has a special attitude towards young talents and that the success of children is judged by which spheres of activity our country has high potential. The President's pride in us and our achievements has further inspired me to conquer new heights everywhere – both in creativity and in studies!".
The gifted girl from Orsha continues to conquer these heights. After receiving the program
«Outlines» of the main star – the star of the winner of the project «I Sing!», recognized by the whole country (Vika Orlova received the majority of viewer votes, Alexandra Adasko – the audience present in the hall) – the sixth-grader not only caught up on the school curriculum during her participation in the project, but also managed to become the winner of the district round in several subject Olympiads and received a Certificate of Honor at the end of the academic year. Vika Orlova also finished the fourth grade of the music department of the art school with excellent marks. The saxophone is an instrument for the soul, which, according to the charming girl, is best suited for playing jazz.As for vocals, Vika started practicing them at the age of 6 in the studio
"Harmony" at her school (teacher Irina Kovalenko). She achieved her first victories at city competitions, and then became a laureate of the international festival "Two Sisters: Belarus and Russia", winner of the international competition "Wind Rose", laureate of the I degree of the international competition "Two Cats", laureate of the regional children's creativity competition "Hello, World!", participated in the international competition "Golden Bee" and the republican children's creativity festival "Dvina — Dzvina — Daugava". Like any girl, she dreamed of appearing on TV. She knew about the project "I Sing!" not by hearsay – she watched all the concerts annually with her mother Elena, and followed the participants' journeys. And when twins appeared in the family and it was recognized as a large family, she realized that there was a chance. Her parents supported their daughter and went to the casting together. Without harboring any particular illusions, they returned home, and two months later, an intercity call rang in the Orlovs' apartment, informing them that Vika had made it into the top twenty.Another audition in Minsk – and the talented vocalist is in the final. Endless rehearsals and concerts were not a burden for Vika. On the contrary, as the girl admits, it’s a real fairy tale. And when all the decorations were removed from the main stage of the country after the final concert, she realized: every fairy tale, however sad, has an end. But, as is customary in childhood, one story ends, another begins. After winning the project, Vika Orlova got a real chance to continue her stellar path and improve her skills at a new level. Yulia Borovskaya invited the gifted girl from Orsha to study at
"Talant Group" , and now every Saturday Vika travels to the capital to "polish" her vocals and choreography according to an individual schedule. She continues to confirm her talent at prestigious festivals and competitions. Together with Belarusian performer German, the Orsha star opened the X Republican Festival of National Cultures in Grodno, and won the Grand Prix at "Marathon of Stars-2014" in Minsk. Her mother, Elena Orlova, supports her daughter in everything and tries to attend every concert if possible. Together with her husband and twin babies, she sincerely rejoices at every new achievement and makes every effort to make the spark of her beloved girl's talent burn brighter and brighter. And recently, with the creative team of ONT and some finalists
"I sing!" Vika visited North Ossetia with a charity concert. "It was especially moving for me to congratulate the schoolchildren of Beslan on Children's Day, – says Vika. – The events that unfolded there in peacetime for me and my country stirred my soul when I saw the school destroyed as a result of a terrorist attack, the blood of my peers on its walls. And I will never forget the poem written by a girl from Beslan a week before her death. I cried and sang for these children, forgetting about everything in the world, hating war with all my heart and wishing everyone only a peaceful sky, a happy childhood..."Vika already has her next creative trip planned. The gifted schoolgirl has been invited to participate in the filming of a video clip for Independence Day – the girl will be one of the performers of the Anthem of the Republic of Belarus and the face of the Vitebsk region at the main celebration of the country in Minsk.
And the young girl from Orsha also dreams of singing at
"Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk". In the future, she sees herself as an artist whose talent will be in demand and will serve the good of our national culture.Olga Lebedeva, "Vitebskiye Vesti"
