A young singer from Vitebsk won a prestigious music competition in Riga

Юная спявачка з Віцебска перамагла на прэстыжным музычным конкурсе ў Рызе

Vitebsk singer Vivien Sabie, soloist of the children's pop song studio "Forum" of the "Vitebsk Culture Center", won "gold" and "silver" at the Riga Symphony 2013 International Festival of Young Performers.

This year, the same gifted girl also successfully performed at competitions in Kazakhstan and Spain.

In the capital of Latvia, Vivien became the winner in the "World Hit" nomination and took second place in the "Author's Song" nomination. In addition to Belarusian vocalists, contestants from Georgia, Italy, Kazakhstan, Lithuania, Russia, Ukraine, Turkey, and other countries took part in this prestigious festival. And the jury members were "star" musicians and composers from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, Latvia, Lithuania... Georgy Kaldun was invited as a music expert from our country.

— Riga Symphony 2013 is not only a competition, but also a rich cultural and concert program. For five days, the festival guests attended a reception at the Riga City Hall, participated in master classes by leading vocal teachers, and got acquainted with Latvian national culture. Such joint projects are an excellent way to get acquainted with other national vocal schools and showcase your own, — the "Vitebsk Culture Center" informed "Zvyazda".

Vivien dreams of representing Belarus at the children's competition of the "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk" International Arts Festival. And she is confidently moving towards her goal!
