Young Polotsk residents submitted a photo report on how they spent their summer
September 15, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. The beginning of each academic year for schoolchildren is traditionally marked by writing an essay on the topic "How I Spent My Summer". Children were also invited to submit a photo report with the same title at the Polotsk Children's Museum, a branch of the National Polotsk Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve, the head of the cultural institution Natalya Andreeva told a BELTA correspondent.
The competition was held from August 15 to September 15. During this time, the museum received more than fifty photographs from students of various educational institutions in Polotsk and Novopolotsk. It is noteworthy that a 44-year-old resident of Polotsk also sent his photographs. "His materials were accepted with pleasure," the interlocutor said, explaining that the age of participants was not limited by the competition rules.
Natalya Andreeva also noted that the majority of the pictures are related to children's holidays in distant and not so distant countries. The Leaning Tower of Pisa, the magnificent views of Peterhof, native flowering rapeseed fields, and many other interesting photographs did not leave the organizers indifferent. The author of the most vivid and "lively" pictures will become the winner of the competition. As a prize, he will receive a unified museum card, which gives the right to visit all branches of the Polotsk Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve. Other participants will receive a ticket to visit the computer room of the children's museum. Special encouragement awaits the oldest participant in the competition. All awards will be solemnly presented at the opening of the photo exhibition, which will be assembled in the coming days. -0-
