Young Vitebsk residents will compete in creating Christmas cutouts on December 18

Young Vitebsk residents will compete in creating Christmas paper cuttings on December 18, the Vitebsk City Center for Children's Creativity informed a BELTA correspondent. The fifth city competition will be held at the Vitebsk Art Museum. For three hours, schoolchildren from various educational institutions of the regional center will create decorative paper cuttings dedicated to Christmas. The authors of the best works will be awarded special prizes. According to the established tradition, all competition paper cuttings will adorn the museum during the New Year holidays. Vytsynanka is a national Belarusian art of paper cutting. Openwork patterns are created from black, white, or colored paper.-0-
