Young hockey players from the Vitebsk region will compete for the right to play in the "Golden Puck" finals

Four teams in the junior age group (born 1997-1999) will compete for the main prize of the regional final tournament in ice hockey among children and teenagers "Golden Puck" for prizes from the President of Belarus on March 10-11, the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee's Department of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism informed a BELTA correspondent. "Edinstvo" (Pervomaysky District, Vitebsk), "Dvina" (Verkhnedvinsk District), "Luch" (Gorodok) and "Nadezhda" (Novopolotsk) will contend for the cup and the right to represent the region at the republican final of the popular sports competition. The quartet of finalists of the regional stage of the tournament was determined based on the results of school, district and city qualifying tournaments. The teams will determine the strongest collective in head-to-head competition, playing matches in a round-robin system. Traditionally, the organizers have established individual prizes for the best hockey players by playing positions, as well as for the top scorer of the regional tournament. The republican final games of the "Golden Puck" among junior age group teams will be held on March 15-19 in Soligorsk (Minsk Region). The organizers of the regional competitions are the Department of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Department of Education and the Department for Youth Affairs of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, and the regional committee of the NGO "BRSM". -0-
