On the eve of City Day, children from Vitebsk Art School No. 3 “Maladzik” made a pleasant gift to the zoo: they painted the enclosure where peacocks and chickens are kept with bright colors.

The thematic sketch, developed by teachers Elena Taranova and Igor Durov, perfectly complemented the interior, and now the zoo visitors and the birds themselves, who roamed the territory while the work was being done indoors, will have to appreciate the children's efforts. But even there, the birds did not go unnoticed, because the students brought treats for all the inhabitants: grain, fruits, vegetables, and bread. While the pets were feasting, the children had the opportunity to observe them more closely and make sketches in their albums.

The students' works will be presented at an exhibition, and the best authors will receive certificates. As Olga Sivtsova, the director of "Maladzik," noted, the children eagerly supported the idea of providing feasible assistance to the zoo and simultaneously being close to the animals, and they were eagerly awaiting the event.
