Young journalists from the Vitebsk Region Media Laboratory met with the head of the Vitebsk Region's parliamentary corps, Dmitry Demidov
– In Belarus, equal conditions are created for every person to realize their potential. Every young person has talents. The extent to which these talents yield positive results depends on the diligence, determination, and business qualities of the young people themselves, – emphasized Dmitry Vladimirovich. – The Youth Parliament of children and students is actively developing in the Vitebsk region, which has an advisory status with local Councils of Deputies. It is important to maintain the continuity of generations, as young people will soon have to actively engage in creative activities, including taking on leadership positions, and solving issues of the region's population's well-being.
Young journalists offered informational support for covering the work of deputies, including the Youth Parliament, and put forward an initiative to join the youth press service.
To the question from schoolchildren about who or what most influenced Dmitry Demidov's formation as a person, leader, and professional, the Chairman of the Vitebsk region's deputy corps named the President of Belarus Alexander Grigorievich Lukashenko, the Chairperson of the Council of the Republic Natalya Ivanovna Kochanova, the Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee Alexander Mikhailovich Subbotin, Archbishop Theodosius of Polotsk and Glubokoye, as well as reading books.
Dmitry Demidov advised the young people that to pursue a career in public service, it is important, firstly, to gain in-depth knowledge and experience, a profession, and actively participate in public activities, and secondly, to sincerely believe in and make every effort and endeavor in the task you are performing.
On this day, media lab assistants also met with Marina Novitskaya, Head of the Main Department of Ideological Work and Youth Affairs of the Regional Executive Committee, who recommended that young journalists carefully analyze incoming information, verify it, and convey truthful news to their peers, and, of course, learn the journalism profession from experienced mentors and colleagues.
A memorable finale of the event was an excursion through the building of the Regional Executive Committee, where the participants learned about the leaders of the Regional Executive Committee, labor veterans, the first secretaries of the Vitebsk Regional Committee of the Communist Party of Belarus, prominent figures of the Vitebsk region, and historical milestones of our region.
