The musicians first met in 1966. Mulyavin had just arrived in Belarus from Sverdlovsk and was looking for work at the Belarusian State Philharmonic. At that time, Yuri Antonov was leading his own instrumental ensemble there, and he was asked to check out the talented musician. And Yuri Antonov, having appreciated Mulyavin's gift, hired him as a guitarist for his group.
