Yuri Antonov does not drink vodka and does not eat pork
July 9, Vitebsk / Elena Prus - BELTA /. The People's Artist of Russia has only in recent years begun to understand the value of a healthy lifestyle. He told reporters about this today at a press conference in Vitebsk, according to a BELTA correspondent.
"I don't drink vodka, I don't eat pork," the extremely popular singer assured those present. And he recalled the times when during tours he had to eat whatever he could find on trains and in hotels, which negatively affected his health.
"You get very tired from concerts, age has a strong effect," admitted the 65-year-old singer, on whose work more than one generation has grown up. "I don't worry before a concert, I don't use any fetishes or anything like that. But, unfortunately, my health condition sometimes doesn't allow me to perform a concert in full, and I have to shorten the program involuntarily."
Perhaps sports will help him regain his strength. "I'll build a new house with a swimming pool – and I'll swim there," Antonov dreams. He also hasn't started writing the promised memoir book yet, because the construction of this huge, even pompous, according to him, house has taken him out of the epistolary genre, and also out of the musical groove, for 5 years.
When asked about his attitude towards music, the artist answered unequivocally: "I haven't copied anyone in my work, I haven't borrowed anything – I wrote for myself, not for someone else."
And he has his own attitude towards money: it "gives him freedom, peace of mind." He considers it indecent to flaunt wealth. Yuri Antonov is ashamed of such Russians whose spicy stories shock normal people. "I try to behave modestly," he added, but admitted that he never regretted spending money on musical equipment. It can be added, and on all sorts of animals that live in bliss and comfort in his old house and will most likely fill the new one. -0-
