Yury Derkach elected Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Trade Union Association
The candidacy of Yuri Derkach at the Plenum of the region's trade unions was unanimously supported.
– In his work, Yuri Nikolaevich is distinguished by responsibility, integrity, and conscientiousness, – noted Anatoly Linevich.
The Aide to the President emphasized that trade unions are actively working to improve legislation on issues that concern people. Therefore, regarding trade union work, it is necessary to increase activity in labor collectives and work on creating primary trade union organizations.
– It is important to do everything possible for people, to improve the quality and standard of living of workers, – said Yuri Derkach. – Despite the fact that there is a lot of work ahead, we will make every effort to preserve social guarantees and what we have achieved.
Yuri Derkach is a Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, born in 1962 in the village of Mogilevtsy, Pruzhansky District, Brest Region. He graduated from the Vitebsk State Medical Institute, in 2005 – the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology of VSMU, in 2012 – the Academy of Management under the President of the Republic of Belarus. He is a member of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus. Since 2020, he has been working as a pediatrician in the pediatric department for children under one year old at the Vitebsk Regional Children's Clinical Center.
