By the end of 2019, the first phase of construction of the "Kupalinka" dairy farm will be completed in the Orsha district.
As told by Yevgeny Rakovsky, Deputy Director for Construction of OJSC "Agrokombinat "Yubileiny", the modern complex will consist of: four cow barns, a milking and milk processing unit with a "carousel" type installation for 60 milking places and a maternity ward, and a calf barn for 460 places. The complex will include an administrative and amenity building, 18 silage trenches to ensure the feed base, and treatment and water intake facilities.
– This dairy complex is of a completely new format, – says Alexander Firsin, Director of OJSC "Agrokombinat "Yubileiny". – The project is indeed serious and very important for the enterprise. Its commissioning will allow for the further development of the livestock industry in the future, and the conditions for milk production will be provided at a qualitatively new level. Plus, the costs for its production will immediately decrease significantly. The new complex is designed to produce over 20 thousand tons of milk per year.
The general contractor, OJSC "Pinskselkhozstroy", is working at the construction site. All necessary work is proceeding according to schedule. Artem Voroshen, foreman of SPMK-33, emphasizes that this is the first large-scale and unique facility in the Vitebsk region that their organization is implementing. They have only had to build similar facilities in the Brest region.
– We started all the work in the summer of last year, – says Artem Voroshen. – We began with the vertical planning for the construction of the entire complex. Now we are carrying out the installation of building frames: cow barns, milking and milk processing unit, prophylaxis building, and equipment shed. In parallel, we are constructing access roads, internal site roads, and bypass roads. We have completed almost 90 percent of the internal and finishing work of the amenity building. About 150 people work at the construction site daily.
The building of the "Kupalinka" complex itself is made of metal profiles. Modern, comfortable conditions will be created here for the staff, and manual labor will be reduced to a minimum. However, the necessary microclimate will be maintained in the cowshed itself.
