Two Vitebsk laboratories have joined the processing of coronavirus swabs – the regional center of hygiene and epidemiology and the regional dermatovenerologic center

He emphasized such a feature of coronavirus infection as the ability of a person who does not yet have clinical manifestations of the disease to shed the pathogen into the external environment. As well as the fact that a negative test result does not guarantee that after some time the patient may become contagious to others.

In this regard, the specialist drew the attention of all employers to the need to strictly monitor the health status of employees. Epidemiological investigations of some cases of coronavirus infection indicate that people sometimes started working at their workplaces in industrial and non-industrial organizations even with subfebrile body temperature. Vladimir Sinkevich emphasized the exceptional importance of self-monitoring of health by each person in the current epidemiological situation. A number of measures contribute to breaking the chain of infection transmission: minimal human contact, maintaining social distance, regular hand washing with soap, using antiseptics, interval cleaning of premises and their ventilation.
