Cabaret band "SILVER WEDDING" and band "PLUM BUM" in Vitebsk!
Cabaret-band "SEREBRYANAYA SVADBA" and the band "PLUM BUM" are two Belarusian groups that began their creative journey in Vitebsk but, for various reasons, continued it in other cities. Over the past 5 years, these two bands have become the hallmark of the theatrical direction in Belarusian music. They have presented their work on stages across Europe and the CIS, where they were received with great enthusiasm. And now, cabaret-band "SEREBRYANAYA SVADBA" and the band "PLUM BUM" are returning to their hometown to present their new programs on March 16th on the stage of the "VITEBSK" concert hall.
Cabaret-band "SEREBRYANAYA SVADBA" is a lively musical and theatrical collective that came into being in 2005. It is a wild company of guitar, double bass, trumpet, trombone, violin, concertina, and drums, which, before the eyes of the public, prepares an extraordinary cocktail of French chanson, dixieland, country, Russian folk music, and Latin American rhythms in the style of a cabaret orchestra.
Among the musical experiments of the cabaret band are scores for new films and unexpected theatrical productions. This year, the band released the new album "LATERNA MAGICA," offering a unique opportunity to immerse oneself in the familiar yet forgotten atmosphere of filmstrips. The 14 songs included in the album are like 14 colorful and diverse pictures from a "magic lantern." Many songs from the new album are well-known to "SEREBRYANAYA SVADBA" fans; however, in the Vitebsk program, they will receive, if not a new life, then a second wind.
On February 22, 2013, cabaret-band "SEREBRYANAYA SVADBA" won in the "Album of the Year" and "Song of the Year" nominations at the "ULTRA-MUSIC AWARDS 2012" music awards.
"PLUM BUM" is a lot of tobacco, wine, aimless wanderings through the night city, dancing, music, and love. It's rock and roll from the windows of roadside cafes, distorted and absurd rock and roll. It's a strange cocktail that doesn't give you a headache in the morning and makes you want to keep drinking it. It's a flea market, a warehouse of found items, a pawn shop, a cheap antique store, a tobacco kiosk, or an old dive bar on the outskirts of a metropolis.
On February 22, 2013, at the awards ceremony of the "ULTRA-MUSIC AWARDS 2012" music prize, the band "PLUM BUM" received special prizes – rotation on "Radio ONT" and a live concert on air, as well as a special prize from the company "ART-KONTORA".
