This opinion was expressed to a BELTA correspondent by the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Council of Deputies, Alexander Atyasov, commenting on the Address of the President of Belarus to the Belarusian people and the National Assembly. The head of state's speech focused on the development of industry, economy, agriculture, the social sphere and other sectors of the national economy, emphasizing the theme of their innovative and investment development, as well as the need to improve the quality of work. "The latter is especially relevant, because the goal of any of our programs is not to strive for certain quantitative indicators, but to achieve qualitative results," said Alexander Atyasov, emphasizing that only the quality work of everyone will allow Belarusians to solve the issues of financial recovery of enterprises, budget filling, fulfill the planned social programs, and ultimately improve the standard of living. Alexander Atyasov also highlighted the special role of local authorities in this. "Local authorities are always at the core of solving any issues of the population. At the same time, there are no small or big issues. There are pressing problems of specific people. And the task of district or city councils of deputies, executive committees is to be at the forefront, to try to help people in a timely and high-quality manner. Only in this way can others be instilled with a sense of responsibility and a desire to perform their work with high quality," the deputy believes. -0-
