If, due to the prevailing weather conditions, Hotily-Agro cannot repeat the record grain yield of 2015 (80.5 c/ha), then it is necessary to look for ways to increase profits in other areas. Pay attention to the cost of milk, to the profitability of sales. The stable operation of Noviye Goryany JSC is based on strict technological discipline.

- We work with pastures all year round, - shares Vissarion Nam. - We milk cows three times a day. As a result, the average milk yield per cow last year was 7,300 kilograms. Milkers are interested in maintaining the herd, they receive bonuses for herd preservation and proper care of calves.

Mikhail Gumnenkov is also confident that there are reserves in dairy cattle breeding. On his farms, they also plan to achieve an average milk yield per cow of 7,300 kg or more this year. A good result contributes to revenue growth (321 million rubles per employee). But there is no limit to perfection.

The economy of OJSC "Demenets" in the Ushachi district also aroused considerable interest during the interview. Its director, Alexander Sharipenko, has achieved good results by specializing exclusively in crop production. They grow lupine, peas, and rapeseed, and these crops are profitable. When a farm faces a shortage of labor resources to support livestock farming, the solution should be sought in the development of other areas.

The conversation with the heads of lagging farms is entirely different, where the issue of plowing winter fallow has not yet been resolved, or even worse – only half of the required area has been plowed. The chairman of the regional executive committee demands that each manager calculate the expected result: everything produced must generate money. And for this, it is important to adhere to technologies.

- The first thing you can and should do when taking a leadership position is to reduce costs, - says Nikolai Nikolaevich Sherstnev. – Look for reserves in every position. The second point is to increase production volume.

The director of OJSC "Danukalova-Agro" in the Liozno district, Mikhail Zazit, for example, has been advised to take measures to ensure milk commercial quality at the level of 95%. The director of OJSC "Sokolovshchina" in the Verkhnedvinsk district, Vladimir Korsun, should pay attention to the fact that the yield of crop production per hectare of arable land in his farm is lower than that from a hectare of agricultural land. In conditions of low soil fertility, clovers provide good returns. This means the crop rotation needs to be reviewed.

The chairman of the regional executive committee is urging the management of the agricultural sector to provide employment for rural workers. There are no redundant workers in the countryside. It is necessary to learn to live on one's own working capital, eradicating the dependent mentality towards the state budget.

Among the new appointments to the positions of directors of agricultural enterprises, Sergey Titov (SHUP "Severny" in the Gorodok district) and Konstantin Shkeltin (OJSC "Chashniksky agroservice") have been approved.

The heads of the housing and communal services sector at the interview were presented by the new Deputy Head of the Housing and Communal Services Department of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Yuri Ragutenok, the Director of the Chashniki Housing and Communal Services, Dmitry Ermashkevich, and the Director of the Sennenskoye Housing and Communal Services, Igor Krupin. In their activities, they will have to pay more attention to attracting additional income from extra-budgetary sources, developing paid services for the population, and implementing an energy-saving program.
