When approving them for the positions, the Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee, Nikolai Sherstnev, was primarily interested in the topic of further enterprise development and management strategy. What do the new leaders envision?

The capacities of Orsha Dairy Plant are loaded by two-thirds. When the enterprise reaches full capacity, the issue of its raw material zone arises.

- The raw material zone is your sphere of influence, - says Nikolai Sherstnev. - If you want to have high-quality raw materials in large volumes, deal with it. Create the necessary structure to participate in servicing the initial stage of milk production.

In doing so, real calculations are needed to reduce production costs and increase sales volumes.

Production at Polotsk Winery is unprofitable. The new director, a former chief technologist of the enterprise, plans to make it profitable. How? By optimizing the number of employees. A reduction in the share of ethyl alcohol in the finished product from 18% to 17%, a reduction in the excise tax rate, and the establishment of a minimum selling price for wine promise economic benefits. Through the implementation of these measures, the enterprise will repay its accounts receivable and achieve profitable operations.

- Your task is to break down every cost item in product manufacturing in order to work on reducing its cost, - emphasized the Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee.

Vasily Shilenok and Anatoly Bolshunov have been approved for the positions of Director of the agricultural branch "Begomlsky" and OJSC "Torguny" of the Dokshitsky district. Both enterprises require urgent measures to increase economic efficiency. A modern manager should not devote all their time to solving current issues; it is important to define a strategy and gradually bring the enterprise to break-even operation. Indeed, the golden reserve of agrarians is milk, especially if it is of "extra" class. Everyone agrees with this. Genetics allows for milking 6-7 thousand kilograms of milk per cow. Therefore, this should be the goal.

- Increase the livestock, grow your own feed protein, do everything to increase revenue and reduce costs, - the chairman instructs. - Everything depends on proper management, whether it is a small farm or a large one like "Torguny".

A principled conversation took place with the director of OJSC "Znamya Industrializatsii" Andrey Shamshura during the approval of the contract extension for a term of four years. This period is given to the head of the Vitebsk light industry enterprise to reach leading positions in the market of women's clothing. One of the problems is the lack of financial resources to repay the loan. Andrey Shamshura sees a solution in changing the assortment structure, optimizing staffing, and developing relationships with distribution networks. The new program will contribute to loan repayment within 3.5 years.

Nikolay Sherstnev is convinced that if the enterprise had created its own distribution network in due time, its situation would have been more successful, and not only in the domestic market.

- You have fashion designers, constructors, specialists – everything to promote the business. But private entrepreneurs have surpassed you; they clothe all of Russia. You need to triple your revenue, carry out technical re-equipment, and surpass your competitors, - the chairman set the task.

The extension of contracts for the directors of several agricultural enterprises in Lepel, Postavy, Ushachi, and Liozno districts has been approved. They will all need to revise their production plans, allocating funds with maximum benefit. Leading in the old way is unforgivable today. The performance of the director corps is assessed by the growth rate of economic indicators, achieving which requires building new production relations. A strong leader will always find a way out of the most hopeless situation.
