Personnel Day with the Chairman: Plans + Action = Result
The old wise rule of three "P"s (to remember, to understand, to apply) can be easily adapted in a new way: to plan, to implement plans, to achieve the intended result. These are the requirements for a manager in modern economic conditions. Moreover, positive changes at the enterprise should appear within a month of operation, if your name is a new generation manager. Everything must be subordinated to the main goal - achieving the planned result. There is no other way.
At the personnel meeting with the chairman of the regional executive committee, Viktor Khvoshch and Alexander Vorona are approved for the positions of directors of Polotsk and Glubokskoye Rayagorservice. Director of OJSC "Orshansky Rayagorservice" Alexander Dervoed is also invited to extend his contract. All three understand: there is only one way out - to increase production and the pace of service provision.
- Farms in any district need detachments like yours - to provide technical assistance, services for fodder harvesting, plant protection, chemical weeding, fertilizer application, soil liming, - is confident Nikolai Nikolaevich Sherstnev.
The performance at Glubokskoye Agroservice is low. The enterprise is losing money on fodder harvesting, and the growth rate of gross output is declining. However, it is possible to send equipment for fodder harvesting to neighboring districts, where there is still uncut grass along the roads!
- We need to fundamentally change our attitude to work, plan every step, count every liter of fuel, every spare part for the machine, - the chairman advises. - The way you assemble the team is how you will work.
Orshansky Agroservice used to be one of the best in the country, now the revenue per employee has fallen by almost half compared to 2014. Yes, MAZ trucks are in demand today, they travel the roads without days off - greenhouses are being built in the district, and road transport brings good income to Agroservice. Alexander Dervoed is looking for new
service provision options. The farm has increased its arable land by 2.5 times: more than 8 thousand hectares, the dairy herd is small – only 2043 cows, sales profitability has sharply decreased (-19.2%). The lack of systematic management does not yield positive results.
- Orsha, Tolochin, Dubroven districts are our breadbaskets, - says Nikolai Sherstnev. – Agroservice detachments will always have work to do, they need to expand the range of profitable services.
New managers at OAO "Konstantinov Dvor" in Gluboksky district and KUSKhP "Agroberesnyovka" in Dokshitsky district – Yuri Vakhovich and Valery Glukhovsky. The economics of both enterprises leave much to be desired. However, the performance indicators are formed from the first tractor output to the field, from the technological track execution, from crop protection and fertilization. Yuri Vakhovich needs to optimize the number of employees, increase milk commercialization by ten points, and improve other livestock indicators. For Valery Glukhovsky, it is important to focus on fodder harvesting to increase the weight gain of cattle.
Revenue per employee has sharply decreased at KUSKhP "Chashnikskoe" in Chashniksky district. The Chairman of the regional executive committee assessed the situation strictly: complete lack of control on the part of the manager. The new director, Nikolai Malyuchenko, who previously headed Chashniksky agroservice, has been tasked with correcting the situation.
A clear action program was presented at the personnel meeting by the young director of OAO "Lovzhanskoe" in Shumilinsky district, Alexey Pytko. The number one task is the staffing of the livestock complex. Already in July, the farm plans to achieve an average daily weight gain of 800 grams. Through improving the feed structure, increase milk yield per cow. Reconsider the internal logistics of the enterprise so that no machine operator works in vain.
Nikolai Sherstnev supported this action program, noting that staffing
– the responsibility zone and the chairman of the district executive committee. It is recommended to pay more attention to beef cattle, the costs of which are recouped twice as fast as in dairy farming. When appointing Nikolai Kakushkin as director of the "Vymno" branch of OJSC "Moloko", the chairman of the regional executive committee set him the task of establishing order in agriculture. It is unacceptable to allow the best lands of the district to be poorly cultivated.Along with the directors – agrarians, heads of industrial enterprises were also present at the personnel day. Vladimir Troitsky, who previously headed the Orsha Aircraft Repair Plant, has been appointed Director of OJSC "Orsha Instrumental Plant". Nikolai Sherstnev predicts that the enterprise may soon be under communal ownership of the region. Russia is a priority direction for the development of partnerships. It is necessary to create prerequisites for strengthening cooperative ties and more persistently offer our site to Russian investors. After all, the enterprise has retained competent specialists, and this is always attractive.
OJSC "Orshaagroprommash", headed by Igor Sinyakov since 2008, is in a difficult situation. The Baranovichi silage tower plant with a large backlog of debts has been joined to the Orsha machine builders. What is the way out of this situation? The chairman of the regional executive committee, Nikolai Sherstnev, considers the merger inexpedient and insists on returning to the consideration of this issue at the ministry level.
- Your strategic line is to form your own policy for the agro-industrial complex, expand the product range, and find new sales markets in Central Asia and Latin America.
The director of OJSC "Vitebsk Plant of Electrical Measuring Instruments", Evgeny Lyadvine, has also been instructed to preserve the team and intensify work on concluding contracts for new developments.
Summing up the results of the personnel day, the chairman of the regional executive committee demanded from the leadersenterprises to act confidently and quickly to achieve positive dynamics in development. Plan for results and economic benefits – and the effect will follow.
