Как на XI Международном экономическом форуме в Витебске будет представлен туристический потенциал области
The tourist potential of the Dvina region will be presented on a large and diverse scale at the XI International Economic Forum "Innovation. Investment. Prospects" in Vitebsk.

As reported by Svetlana Astanina, Head of the Tourism and Health and Fitness Work Sector of the Department of Sports and Tourism of the Regional Executive Committee, guests and participants of the forum will be offered brochures and other advertising printed materials about the districts, organizations, and attractions of the Vitebsk region. Various souvenir products promoting districts and tourist products will be presented. A separate stand will be dedicated to the "Krasny Bor" tourist complex. Representatives of the State Environmental Institution "Osvyeysky" will talk about an international technical assistance project for the development of ecotourism in cooperation with the "Sebezhsky" National Park of the Pskov region.

It will be possible to get acquainted with investment proposals in the field of tourism throughout the region.

– We have over 100 investment proposals: for the construction of tourist bases, hotels, glamping sites, and others, – emphasized Svetlana Astanina.

A presentation of tourist programs and projects will also be held.

In particular, a presentation of the pilot project "Vasilkovy Krai" (Cornflower Region) will be conducted. It is primarily convenient and interesting for individual tourists. Within its framework, QR codes with a cornflower image are placed at the main attractions in 12 districts of the region.

– For organized tourist groups, an excursion guide provides information, – says Svetlana Astanina. – Individual tourists, thanks to the "Vasilkovy Krai" project, can learn information about a specific object by pointing their smartphone camera at a cornflower with a QR code. And this is without using the internet. It is enough to pre-download a QR code reading program. As part of this pilot project, information boards are also placed at public transport stops. By scanning the QR code, you can learn about attractions located within a 500-meter radius. Moreover, this system is implemented not only in large cities of the region but also in small districts, particularly in Rossony, Ushachi, and some others.

Another interesting project to be presented at the forum is the subprogram "Development of Tourism in the Pooserye Region of the Vitebsk Oblast (part of the State Program "Belarus Hospitality"). It includes 7 districts: Braslavsky, Verkhnedvinsky, Gluboksky, Miorsky, Rossonsky, Postavsky, and Sharkovshchinsky. The subprogram provides for over 100 events for 2023–2025.
