How is early voting proceeding in Vitebsk?
Nina Semenovna, a 79-year-old resident of Pervomaysky District, said that she came to vote early because there will be many more people on Sunday.
– My parents always came to vote very early. They got up at 6 am so as not to oversleep. Participating in elections is important, prestigious, – Nina Semenovna shared her memories.
Among those who decided to vote early is the Deputy Chairperson of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Anzhelika Nikitina. She admitted that she wanted to come to the polling station on the very first day of early voting, but work did not allow it. Therefore, she came on her favorite day of the week – Thursday – and noted with a smile that elections are always a celebration for her!
– I came to cast my vote because it is the duty of every citizen of the Republic of Belarus. We are choosing the future of our children, the country in which we live, work, study, and raise children. The sovereignty, independence, development of the real sector of the economy, and the social sphere of our country depend on our choice, – noted the Deputy Chairperson of the Regional Executive Committee.
Anna Aleksandrovna came to vote with a friend. They combined business with pleasure: they took a walk and did an important deed.
– You know, my health is not what it used to be in my youth, and on the 26th there will be a lot of people, so we decided to come earlier, – said Anna Aleksandrovna. – It is necessary to participate in elections so that everything is good, so that children and grandchildren live peacefully. We voted for the candidate who will ensure all this, with whom it will be simpler and easier to live.
Larisa also shared that participating in elections is a family tradition instilled in her by her parents since childhood.
“My parents, myself, and my children, we always participate in elections. Why? Because we are choosing what our Belarus will be like in the future,” she emphasized.
Another resident of Pervomaisky District, Yulia, briefly and to the point explained her participation in early voting today.
“I am here to fulfill my civic duty and vote for the country’s future,” she said.
