Like in 1945: a historic locomotive with songs of the war years set off on the Orsha-Lepel route
A steam locomotive, styled after the one that transported soldiers from Berlin to Moscow in 1945, departed from Orsha station. The final destination of the route will be Lepel station.
Ceremonial rallies in two cities of the Vitebsk region are timed to coincide with two significant dates – the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory and the 100th anniversary of the opening of traffic on the Orsha-Lepel line. On board are the leadership of the Orsha District Executive Committee, representatives of the regional trade union of state institution workers, and Belarusian Railway. Throughout the entire route to Lepel, they will be accompanied by songs and dances of the war years performed by creative groups.
