How will the regional "Dazhynki" be held in Vitebsk?
For the first time in the history of the regional "Dazhynki" festival, the main agrarian forum will be held in Vitebsk this year. Is everything ready for the upcoming holiday, and what will the regional center surprise guests and participants of the event with? Presentations of popular products, as well as new items from the region's enterprises, a traditional show by the Ministry of Emergency Situations, performances by numerous creative groups and costumed characters, themed photo zones, and other interesting surprises – all this awaits Vitebsk residents and city guests this coming weekend.
As emphasized by the Chairman of the Regional Council of Deputies, Vladimir Terentyev, who is overseeing the preparations for the main agro-festival, the main events of "Dazhynki-2020", including the honoring of harvest leaders, will take place in the city center. However, residents of the city's residential areas will not be left out of the festive activities. Various events will also be organized for them, which will be an integral part of the festival-fair.
At the site near the Sports Palace, the traditional autumn fair "Vasen'ski karahod" will be held, with representatives from almost 40 educational institutions of the region participating.
They will bring products worth 180 thousand rubles. Here, at affordable prices, one can purchase vegetables, fruits, seedlings, and flowers. The sale will include not only agricultural products but also footwear, clothing, furniture, and locksmith products manufactured by students in their workshops.
Trade rows and areas of "Vasen'ski karahod" will also be located on Pobedy Avenue, smoothly transitioning to Voina-internatsionalistov Street. Here, play areas for the youngest, performances with costumed characters, and creative groups will be organized. Thus, an engaging pastime is guaranteed for both adults and children this Saturday from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The highlight of the event this year, as noted by Dmitry Khoma, the head of the main department for education of the regional executive committee, will be the presentations of new skills and professional mastery by 14 winners of the IV Republican Competition of Professional Skills WorldSkills Belarus-2020. Master classes in bricklaying and tiling, and food preparation will be held,including Belarusian national cuisine.
During the fair, students will provide services to the public for minor repairs of clothing and footwear, and manicures. The issue of providing hairdressing services is being considered.
The head of the main department of trade and services of the regional executive committee, Irina Levkovich, said that the work of non-stationary trade and catering facilities will be organized in a fair format. They will be located on Freedom Square and Victory Square, the upper platform near the Summer Amphitheater, in the Winners' Park, on Pushkin, Suvorov, Tolstoy, and Lenin streets. It is expected that the total length of the trade rows will be about a kilometer, and about 1700 seats will be organized here by catering establishments.
At Victory Square, as part of the "Vitebsk Karavai" event, all districts of the region will present their products, representatives of OJSC "Vesta" and enterprises of OJSC "Vitebskmyasomolprom" will be present, and 250 public catering seats will be organized. A "Sweet Zone" awaits sweet tooths on the upper platform near the Summer Amphitheater, where the confectionery factory "Vitba", the "Kommunarka" factory, and OJSC "Krasny Pishchevik" will set up their stalls.
On Zamkovaya Street and in Victory Park, numerous summer cafes will be organized, which will be open on Saturday until 11:00 PM and on Sunday until 3:00 PM. At the trade rows in Victory Park, mushrooms, berries, as well as various pickles and sauerkraut from the enterprises of the regional consumer society will be presented in a wide assortment, which will delight with their products on Pushkin Street, Tolstoy Street, and the embankment along the Vitebsk River.
The honoring of harvest leaders, as well as a festive concert for them, will take place in the Summer Amphitheater.
Artists from the Center of Culture of the Vitebsk Region will delight with their vibrant performances on Freedom Square from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The branded trade of OJSC "Vitebskaya Broiler Poultry Farm" will also be presented here, and a presentation of products from various city enterprises will be held.
Guests and participants of the festival from the districts will be brought to Vitebsk by 65 buses, each of which will have a guide.
