What project do the Gorodok and Pskov Agricultural and Technical Colleges plan to implement?
– We have established close ties with colleagues from various regions of Russia: we exchange methodological developments and study the conditions created by each other, send our vocational training masters and students for internships to the neighboring country, and participate in professional skill competitions organized by Russians. All this allows us to broaden our professional horizons and knowledge, to notice something new in approaches to training and rural activities, – emphasized the head of the institution. – We also plan to implement a large-scale project with the Pskov Agricultural College. In particular, with the support of scientists from the Belarusian State and Velikie Luki Agricultural Academies, we want to create unified textbooks, laboratories, and workshops where future agricultural specialists from Belarus and Russia can study.
– We strive to ensure that our students get internships at the best agricultural enterprises in the Vitebsk region, such as SHP "MazolovoGaz" or OJSC "Vitebsk Broiler Poultry Farm", receive decent wages, and remain in rural areas after graduation, – noted Vladimir Shitko. – We regularly implement advanced technologies in the training process. We have a modern competence center "Diagnostics, Operation, Repair and Maintenance of High-Power Tractors", laboratories for the maintenance and repair of cars and trucks, and high-power tractors. Thus, students not only receive theoretical training but can also apply their knowledge by engaging in computer diagnostics and vehicle repair. They have access to a welding shop offering six types of welding, a tire fitting service designed for large-sized wheels, and diagnostic equipment.
