A capsule with valuables has been laid in the foundation of the new office of OJSC "Belgazprombank" in Vitebsk
A 925 sterling silver coin weighing 24.5 grams, inlaid with diamonds, was ceremonially laid into the foundation of the new building of the Vitebsk Regional Directorate of OJSC "Belgazprombank".
Next year, a modern 4-story building with an area of almost 2,000 square meters will be erected on Stroiteley Avenue, which will become one of the pearls of the city's public and business center. The bank also took care of the convenience of citizens – parking spaces for 86 cars have already been equipped along the construction site, which will be used by employees and clients of the bank, as well as visitors to neighboring cultural and entertainment venues.

The implementation of this project would have been impossible without the assistance of the local authorities, who allocated this land plot. The construction of the Belgazprombank office in Vitebsk is an excellent example of public-private partnership development. This was stated at the solemn ceremony by the Deputy Chairman of the Vitebsk City Executive Committee Zinaida Koroleva.
— This building will be a pearl not only of this part of the city, but of the entire Vitebsk, as it is located at the intersection of significant highways – Stroiteley Avenue and Chernyakhovsky Avenue, — noted the Deputy Chairman of the Vitebsk City Executive Committee Zinaida Koroleva.
— The new Belgazprombank building project incorporates the most modern technical solutions, — said Natalia Kosabuko, Director of UP "Institute Vitebskgrazhdanproekt". — And we, for our part, will make every effort to ensure that the construction of the facility is completed within the planned timeframe.
The history of the Vitebsk Regional Directorate of Belgazprombank began in January 1995 with one room in a building at 2/44 Yanka Kupala Street, built in the late 19th century, where six employees worked. The new building will be the best gift to employees and clients for the directorate's 20th anniversary, during which time it has become one of the largest financial and credit institutions in the Vitebsk region.
— For almost 20 years of work in Vitebsk, the previous building became too small for us. Now, along with the new office, we are building our future, which we will be proud of. The main wish of the honored guests was the prompt completion of construction. The commissioning of the building is planned for the summer of 2015.
Members of the board of OJSC "Belgazprombank", the management of the Vitebsk Regional Directorate, partners, and clients of the bank were also present at the construction site.
With the housewarming, the bank will change its "jurisdiction" and move from the Oktyabrsky district of Vitebsk to the Pervomaysky district. The head of the administration of the Pervomaysky district of Vitebsk, Nikolai Orlov, said that the first bank building of this level is being built in the district and that a number of industrial enterprises in our district are already cooperating with OJSC "Belgazprombank".
Viktor Babariko, Chairman of the Board of OJSC "Belgazprombank", emphasized that one of Belgazprombank's main social programs, the national cultural and historical project "Art-Belarus", is closely linked with the city on the Dvina. It originates from the bank's formation of a collection of paintings by Belarusian artists of the Paris School, the most famous representatives of whom were closely associated with Vitebsk.
The corporate tradition of laying a commemorative sign began in April 2013, when a capsule with a gold coin was laid in the foundation of the Belgazprombank head office building in Minsk. On July 28, 2014, a commemorative silver coin was laid in the foundation of a new Banking Services Center in Slonim, and now the tradition has continued in the capital of "Slavianski Bazaar". Unauthorized removal of valuables is excluded – the capsule is concreted, and immediately after the ceremony, a foundation slab was laid on top of it, which cannot be moved. The completion of the building construction is planned for the summer of 2015.
