The miniature pig Nyusha has become a favorite of visitors to the Vitebsk Zoo

July 20, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. A dwarf piglet has joined the inhabitants of the Vitebsk Zoo. In just two weeks, the good-natured piglet has become a favorite of visitors, the institution told a BELTA correspondent.

The cute piglet named Nyusha arrived at the zoo from a Vitebsk family who could not devote enough attention to their pet and, apparently, did not take into account the specifics of its keeping. Ideally, mini-pigs need their own space in an apartment, preferably a room, and regular walks. Entertainment should also be considered, otherwise these cheerful little ones will necessitate home repairs.

The appearance and miniature size of the new zoo inhabitant (black coloring of the back along with white legs and belly) immediately attracted the attention of visitors, and their love and sincere sympathy were ensured by the friendly and cheerful disposition of the piglet. She gladly communicates with children and adults, accepting all treats with a grateful "oink". For now, Nyusha's heart is warmed only by the public's love. However, so that the piglet is not lonely in her personal life, the zoo plans to acquire a gallant gentleman for her in the near future.

Dwarf pigs (mini-pigs) are quite common pets in Europe and America. For example, George Clooney, the 38th Governor of California, and famous actor Arnold Schwarzenegger, boast such pets, zoo employees added.-0-
