Every tenth appeal to the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee in the first quarter was received by e-mail
April 19, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. Every tenth appeal received by the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee in the first quarter of 2012 was sent by e-mail, the department for working with citizens' appeals of the regional executive committee informed a BELTA correspondent.
Residents of the region are actively exercising their right, granted by the law "On Citizens' and Legal Entities' Appeals," to communicate with the authorities via e-mail. If in the first quarter of last year, before the innovation, the regional executive committee received 40 electronic appeals, then since the new law came into force, 104 have been registered.
In January-March, the regional executive committee received 1028 appeals. This number, in accordance with the law "On Citizens' and Legal Entities' Appeals," included both electronic appeals and those that citizens left in the book of remarks and suggestions of the regional executive committee. The number of appeals compared to the same period last year increased by 11.5%. The number of complaints about the quality and timing of construction has significantly increased: if in the first quarter of 2011 there were 33, then in the first quarter of the current year - 149. The number of appeals concerning housing legislation and housing construction lending increased by 31% and amounted to 152. In the region, there is a trend of reduction in complaints about the work of housing and communal services. Compared to the first quarter of 2011, there were one-third fewer such appeals.
As noted by specialists of the department, the analysis of appeals received by the regional executive committee allows the authorities to promptly respond to the situation in the districts, make correct management decisions and submit proposals to higher authorities, based on the realities of the region's development. Thus, according to specialists' forecasts, the entry into force of decree No. 184, which amends decree No. 13 on preferential housing loans, will soon reduce the number of citizens' appeals concerning construction and lending. -0-
