Every third exporting enterprise in the Vitebsk region has switched to electronic declaration

July 24, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. Every third exporting enterprise in the Vitebsk region has switched to electronic declaration, the head of the Vitebsk customs Gennady Puchkov announced today at a meeting of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, BELTA correspondent reports. According to Gennady Puchkov, economic entities have already managed to appreciate the speed and time savings provided by the innovation. However, two-thirds of the enterprises have taken a wait-and-see attitude and are in no hurry to switch to progressive forms of work. In this regard, the head of the Vitebsk customs recalled that since July 1 of this year, the import of goods into the European Union is carried out with mandatory electronic notification. Thus, inclusion in the electronic declaration system is also a way to promote their products to the markets of European countries, he emphasized. Gennady Puchkov noted that the Vitebsk customs is ready to assist economic entities in training specialists. Electronic declaration of 50% of exports should be implemented by September 1, 2009, and from January 1, 2010, all export deliveries must be declared in this way. -0-
