Every fourth business entity in the Vitebsk region applies the simplified taxation system

Business entities of the Vitebsk region applying the simplified taxation system (STS) in January-February increased budget payments by 17% compared to the same period in 2010, to an amount exceeding Br32.2 billion in comparable terms. This was reported to a BELTA correspondent by the press center of the Ministry of Taxes and Duties Inspectorate for the Vitebsk region. As of March 1, almost 11.5 thousand taxpayers in the region apply the simplified taxation system, including over 4.8 thousand legal entities and more than 6.6 thousand individual entrepreneurs. At the same time, the trend of growing popularity of the simplified taxation system among business entities, established in recent years, is maintained. Thus, compared to the data for February 2010, their number increased by 17%, and this dynamic is characteristic of all districts of the region. Currently, every fourth enterprise and almost every fourth individual entrepreneur has chosen the simplified system of tax reporting. The largest number of taxpayers under the simplified system work in Vitebsk (over 4.5 thousand), as well as in Novopolotsk and Orsha (over 1 thousand business entities in both cities). In January-February, revenues from legal entities applying the STS amounted to Br25.6 billion, and payments from individual entrepreneurs under the STS were at the level of Br6.6 billion. Over two months, tax arrears of taxpayers under the STS decreased by Br4.5 million and amounted to Br61.9 million. Only seven taxpayers applying the STS are registered as debtors to the budget. -0-
