The unusual creative event "We are painting Vitebsk. We are painting the festival" is being organized by the museum "Vitebsk Center for Contemporary Art," senior researcher at the museum Elena Zorina told a BELTA correspondent. At the traditional exhibition-fair of creative works "Vitebsk Vernissage," which takes place during the festival days, anyone, regardless of age, will be able to pick up a brush and palette and depict everything related to the city and the festival. Participants of the event will have a master class from Vitebsk artists, and the authors of the best works will receive commemorative prizes. As Elena Zorina emphasized, the event is designed to instill a creative perception of the world and show that everyone is talented. "Vitebsk Vernissage" is one of the most popular projects held annually in the festival city. It is attended by famous and emerging artists, and viewers have a unique opportunity to get acquainted with contemporary art and buy works that may, in a few years, be sold only at Sotheby's and Christie's auctions. This year, more than 150 artists from Belarus and Latvia will take part in the "Vitebsk Vernissage." They will present paintings, graphics, and installations. -0-
